Adam Lambert showcased his slimmer figure in an eye-catching ensemble as he stopped by the Today show in New York City on Tuesday.

The former American Idol contestant, 42 – who previously got candid about using a weight loss drug to shed 60lbs – flashed a peace sign outside of the studio as he headed to his next destination.

The singer donned a vibrant blue blazer as well as a pair of loose-fitting trousers and a blue sweater underneath.

Lambert additionally slipped into a pair of chunky, black loafers and sported blue-rimmed shades to complete his outfit for the day.

Adam completed the look by adding earrings as well as chunky, silver rings on each of his hands.

His latest outing comes months after he revealed he took a controversial weight loss drug to drop around 60lbs.

During an Instagram Live earlier this year in March, Lambert opened up about his health journey to his fans while on the topic of Oprah Winfrey’s documentary titled An Oprah Special: Shame, Blame, and the Weight Loss Revolution.

In the clip which was reposted by a fan on TikTok, he shared his emotional reaction to the documentary.

And at one point, Adam stated, ‘I’m dropping some tea on you guys right now. I’ve been on Mounjaro for the last I think, what, eight months?’

Mounjaro is a drug for type 2 diabetes and helps lower blood sugar levels in individuals. In the reel, Lambert explained that his blood sugar levels had been high and near diabetes levels.

‘And I’ve lost almost 60 pounds,’ the star continued. ‘I feel amazing. I still eat, but I eat lighter, and I eat less.’

Adam added, ‘And I know that there’s a lot of chatter about, “Oh, you’re taking it away from diabetes patients.” I mean, quite frankly, that’s the pharmaceutical industry’s issue, not mine. They need to keep up with production.’

After taking Mounjaro, Lambert said, ‘I feel better, I feel more confident. I feel, my actual body feels better. My digestive system feels more regulated.’

Back in 2010, the performer previously talked about losing weight when he was in high school.

‘I lost probably about forty pounds about ten years ago,’ Lambert told Ok! Magazine. ‘When I was in high school, I had bad eating habits.’

‘I ate a bunch of c**p – a bunch of fast food and stuff. I learned more about what’s healthy and what’s not healthy. I used a little bit of self-control.’

After losing the weight, he stated that he felt ‘a hundred times better. Physically I felt better, but I also had better self-esteem and body image.’

Adam has also been open about his mental health and while talking to Hunger Magazine in 2022, he discussed his struggles with both anxiety and depression.

‘I’ve definitely dealt with my share of anxiety. What’s great is that the more we all talk about it, the more we realize it’s pretty common, especially in this day and age.’

‘Especially after the year and a half we’ve had. Anxiety’s real. It’s a beast,’ the singer said at the time.

Lambert also expressed, ‘I think it’s really important not to feel like there’s something wrong with you. I think it’s more common than we all realize.’

‘It’s now becoming more of a conversation, but I think for people that are older it’s been a taboo thing. This is all cliché, but it is okay to ask for help…’

During his appearance on Today on Tuesday, Adam discussed taking over for Eddie Redmayne in the Broadway musical, Cabaret.

In regards to tackling the role of the Emcee in the production, the star said, ‘It was definitely on a short list of parts I’ve always wanted to play. Mainly because he’s just weird and wild and wonderful.’

‘It’s bit of an abstract character. He’s kind of like a narrator, he welcomes the audience in and guides them through this story.’

The premise of the musical is: ‘It’s 1931 Berlin, and inside the Kit Kat Klub, British nightclub singer Sally Bowles keeps the delirious party raging.’

‘But no amount of booze, music, and dancing can slow the ominous march of a changing Germany as it draws ever closer,’ per Playbill.

Adam officially made his Broadway debut in Cabaret in September – and is slated to portray the character of the Emcee through March of next year alongside fellow co-star, Auli’i Cravalho.

Elsewhere in the interview, Lambert also reflected on having the chance to be the frontman of Queen.

‘I mean, we’ve been doing it for about 10 years and so, it’s amazing. I feel like I’ve gotten to grow as a musician and as a performer working with them.’

‘That’s the best part of it – that I look back upon our first tour and I’m like, “Oh wow, I feel like I’ve come a long way as a performer.” And that feels great.’
