Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick starred in A Simple Favour. Amid Blake’s legal battles, an old interview with the two resurfaced online

Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick’s supposed ‘tension’ has shocked fans as an old interview from their A Simple Favour press tour resurfaced.

The A-listers starred in the 2018 movie together and while Blake is currently embroiled in legal drama with It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni, Blake and Anna’s interview with Josh Horowitz for MTV resurfaced on TikTok as fans questioned the ‘tension’ between the two.

Speaking about how she met Blake through Ryan Reynolds, Anna said: “I thought she seemed nice but little did I know…” while Blake simply raised her eyebrows. Fan-favourite interview Josh added: “Look at the body language experts analysing this right now,” as he pointed at Blake sitting at one end of the sofa while Anna jokingly moved away from her.

When Blake’s hand reached out to Anna’s leg, the Twilight star quickly said: “Don’t touch me.” Another point in the interview had the duo discuss Anna’s role as Cinderella in the musical, Into The Woods. Blake said: “I would literally skin her body alive and step into it to be Cinderella but I would need her voice. It’s a problem, I would need her voice.”

Blake continued: “I can’t be a Disney princess ever,” as Anna mockingly responded: “Oh muffin, it’s so hard being you!” Blake admitted she ‘really wants’ to be a Disney princess and Anna said: “I’m sure that dream will come true.” Fans were in shock watching the clip as they took to the comment section to question whether the pair were engaging in friendly banter or were tense with each other.

“This is like the greatest interview I’ve ever seen, So much hate but so much acting training,” one user said and another added: “Anna knew how to deal with her… Straight forward.” One fan commented: “I love how Anna always had something to say back lol Blake really thought she was going to get the last word and there comes Anna again, so witty.”

“Anna was on her NECK,” another amazed fan said. Others claimed Anna and Blake were simply bantering as they slammed those who thought the stars hated each other. “People really don’t understand dry banter and extreme sarcasm. This is me and my best friend of 36 years. We’ve been like this since teens. You people can’t be this daft. Can you?” they said.

One added: “Are they not playing around and being sarcastic?” to which another user responded: “Yes I don’t understand how some people don’t get it…”
