Voldemort is the bane of the Wizarding World. He stands out as potentially the most dangerous figure in history, whose reign caused the world to cower at the mere mention of his name. But when he appears in Harry Potter, he is at his weakest. Having divided his soul, lost his physical body, and hiding in various degrading forms.

Voldemort had a meteoric rise to power, with devoted disciples propping him up. And he went on to cause chaos. Seeing more of the rise to power, and Tom Marvello Riddle’s days as a student before he began his takeover would be a wonderful way to freshen up a story that had previously been told.

With the movies and books released together, and the truth about Snape’s promise to Lily Potter only being revealed late in the series, the stunning reveal that Snape was actually trying to protect Harry for all of his years at Hogwarts was a revelation. However, no sooner was this revealed than Snape was killed off.

This could make a story that has already been seen into something new and more engaging.

With this big reveal now more public knowledge, the show could hint at and expand on this detail much earlier. It could see Snape make his promise to Lily, and unpack the complex feelings that he must be enduring throughout. Harry And Ginny’s Romantic Connection

One of the biggest frustrations in the movies, which is only slightly better in the books, is the relationship between Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley. Understandably, Ginny is Ron’s younger sister, and when Harry begins attending Hogwarts, he takes no real notice of Ginny, but at the end of the story, the pair fall deeply and madly in love.

This relationship needs more room to breathe, and further expansion throughout, so that when it does come about at the end, it doesn’t feel like a complete shock. If Ginny is seen to have a crush on Harry, and, over time, Harry begins to reciprocate those feelings, then this relationship can feel like a natural progression of the story. But Harry Potter’s new TV show could be the first part of the franchise to do the romance justice.
