In contrast to recent MCU releases, Hahn reassured fans that they don’t need to worry about catching up with the entire franchise’s storyline. To keep everyone in the loop, she has devised a musical recap spanning from Iron Man to Secret Invasion, along with highlighting upcoming projects like Daredevil: Born Again.

Addressing a common concern among the audience about needing to keep up with the MCU’s extensive storyline, Hahn took the stage with a musical tribute aimed at keeping everyone informed.

Stating the key events of the cinematic universe, she mentioned initial movies, including Iron ManThor, The Incredible Hulk, and the formation of the Avengers. The actress humorously acknowledged the Guardians of the Galaxy.

“Vin Diesel got paid millions just to voice a freaking talking tree,” she said. The recap song continued with the actress singing about the ensemble of heroes to face villains like Thanos and significant plot points like Thanos’ snap.

The Marvel star didn’t miss out on honoring Iron Man’s heroic sacrifice. Moving ahead with characters like Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Scarlett Witch, and others, she culminated with a grand introduction of Agatha Harkness, her character in the upcoming series.

The actress introduces her character as a centuries-old evil witch. The series is set to premiere on Disney+ following the upcoming film Deadpool & Wolverine and is expected to follow Agatha Harkness’ life following the events of WandaVision.

Kathryn Hahn Hints at Fewer MCU Ties in Agatha All Along

Kathryn Hahn’s upcoming series Agatha All Along serves as a spin-off to the 2021 Marvel series WandaVision. However, it appears to have fewer ties to the broader MCU, as hinted in its recently released trailer.

Before breaking down the series’ events in song on the talk show, Hahn also noted that viewers do not require extensive knowledge of the films and shows of the franchise to keep up with the upcoming series.

A lot of people have asked me if they need to watch every single Marvel movie and show in order to enjoy it. And the answer is no.

The same has been claimed to be about the upcoming film Deadpool & Wolverine, with the filmmaker Shawn Levy sharing that the audience would not need to have a deep knowledge of the MCU to enjoy the movie.

The approach suggests a new strategy for Marvel’s upcoming projects, especially in light of recent disappointing installments that left fans underwhelmed and struggling at the box office.

WandaVision is available to stream on Disney+.

Deadpool & Wolverine is set to release on July 26, 2024.
