Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Plan To Tell Archie and Lilibet About Royal Heritage in “Due” Time

Exclusive | Royal insiders question timing of Archie, Lilibet title reveal

One benefit that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have after stepping back from their senior royal duties is that they get to give their children, Archie and Lilibet, as much of a normal life as they can. A family friend told Us Weekly that Meghan and Harry are “hands-on parents” and do everything they can to give the kids “normal childhoods.” Like many parents, “they take the kids to school, they pick them up, and they are very active and present with them throughout the day.”

The aim for a normal childhood also includes Archie and Lilibet staying out of the public eye in order to protect their privacy and safety, a cause that they have been open and vocal about.

“I think every parent wants to share their kid with the world, but they just can’t,” the source explained. “William’s kids, for example, have way more safety, even though they’re recognizable. And the same doesn’t apply to Meghan and Harry’s children. They know the world wants to see [them, but] I would expect them to live smaller lives until that gets sorted, if it ever does.”

Right now, Harry and Markle are taking things one day at a time and are planning tell Archie and Lilibet about their royal heritage at some point in the future.

“They’ll have those conversations in due time,” the source added, noting that the Sussexes want Archie and Lilibet to be loved for who they are as people, not their relation to the crown. “They’re so well-mannered. Archie is sweet and curious and playful, and Lili is vibrant and happy.”
