Meghan Markle’s comment about Princess Charlotte was so cruel it ended the relationship with Kate Middleton

Relationship between Prince Harry and Prince William also suffered

Meghan Markle‘s comments about Princess Charlotte reportedly caused significant tension between her and Princess Kate, creating a rift that persists to this day.

Despite both women finding themselves in similar positions as non-aristocratic outsiders joining the royal family, they struggled to form a close friendship.

As Meghan and Harry‘s May 2018 wedding approached, tensions escalated. Reports at the time suggested that the Duchess of Sussex made Kate cry during a disagreement over bridesmaid dresses.

However, it was later clarified that Meghan had been the one in tears, and Prince Harry confirmed that Kate had sent flowers to apologize.

Author Tom Bower, in his book “Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War between the Windsors,” added another layer to the story. He claimed Meghan compared Princess Charlotte unfavorably to her best friend Jessica Mulroney’s daughter, Ivy.

Bower‘s book, quoting unnamed sources, suggested that Meghan‘s comments further strained her relationship with Kate.

According to MailOnline, the book also mentioned that Kate had been “tired” after the birth of her third child, Prince Louis, who was born in April, just weeks before the wedding.

The now-Princess of Wales was reportedly too fatigued to engage in arguments with Meghan over whether the bridesmaids should wear tights, a traditional royal protocol.

The Impact on the Royal Family

This episode is just one of many incidents that have reportedly contributed to the ongoing tension between Meghan and Kate.

The strained relationship between the two Duchesses has had wider implications for the royal family dynamics.

Observers note that the discord between Meghan and Kate has often mirrored the broader tensions within the royal family, particularly between Prince Harry and Prince William.

As both couples have taken different paths, with Meghan and Harry stepping back from royal duties and relocating to the United States, the relationship between the two brothers has also reportedly suffered.

The ongoing public scrutiny and media coverage of these personal disputes have added pressure on the royal family, highlighting the challenges they face in maintaining a united front.

Despite attempts to resolve these issues privately, the stories continue to capture the public’s attention, fueling speculation and debate about the future of the monarchy and the personal relationships within it.
