Eminem’s immortal hit returned to the Billboard charts when information about the 2025 world tour broke out

Eminem released his highly-anticipated new single “Houdini” on Friday (May 31). The song became an immediate bestseller, as it shot straight to No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes chart. It has held there for days, and as of the time of writing, it’s still running the show.

Ahead of “Houdini” debuting on the Billboard charts next week, one of the rapper’s biggest hits reappears on one list. At the same time, it lifts on another, which shows there’s real and sustained interest in the tune–even decades after it was released.

“Lose Yourself” is back on the Rap Digital Song Sales chart this period. The tune lands at No. 10 on Billboard’s list of the bestselling rap tracks in the country this frame.

Eminem’s smash is not new to the Rap Digital Song Sales chart, even though it wasn’t present on the tally last time around. “Lose Yourself” is actually one of the most successful titles of all time on this specific list. While it’s never made its way to No. 1–it has thus far been forced to peak at No. 2–it has now spent 475 weeks on the tally.

As it reappears on the rap sales tally, “Lose Yourself” is also on the rise on another ranking. The single steps up one rung on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart. On that roster, it improves to No. 13.

“Lose Yourself” was written and recorded for the movie 8 Mile, which was loosely based on Eminem’s life. The hip-hop musician starred in the film, and the tune went on to become one of the most popular in his catalog.

After being released in 2002, “Lose Yourself” shot to No. 1 on the Hot 100. The song has gone on to become a 13-times platinum certified blockbuster, which few tracks have reached in American history. It also won Eminem the Best Original Song Academy Award, making him one of a very, very small number of hip-hop musicians to collect that honor.

In a few days, Eminem will likely debut on both of the tallies mentioned above with his new single. “Houdini” looks like it’s headed for a healthy debut, especially when it comes to sales. The new drop’s success on iTunes suggests that the rapper could be headed for a new top 10–and possibly another No. 1–on the tallies where “Lose Yourself” is currently surging.
