Portuguese Locals Slam Greedy Prince Harry & Meghan, Don’t Want Them There

British royal family news reveals that Portuguese residents are telling Prince Harry and Meghan Markle: NIMBY! The royal traitors are as welcome in Portugal as they are in the UK, the USA, heck, anywhere they pitch their tent.

Marca reports that “Tensions are rising among residents in Portugal over a new luxury resort development” where the Markels want to relocate. The place is the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club, a 722-acre estate near Melides, roughly 81 miles south of Lisbon.

But the deal looks to be all smoke and mirrors—here’s what to know about the Markle timeshare pipe dream.

Royal Family News: Harry And Meghan Not Welcome In Portugal

The development has sparked backlash among locals who will now be cut off from prime beachfront property. When word got out that the Markles were buying there, insult was added to injury.

Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “have bought one of 300 planned residences at the exclusive coastal resort, with prices starting at $4.7 million.”

Here’s the thing—what they bought was a patch of dirt from disgraced Prince Andrew’s son in law, Jack Brooksbank who is married to Princess Eugenie. There are no houses, and if the locals continue to protest there may never be.

Local resident Bradley McGuiness told the Daily Record that the development represents “the worst thing to happen to the Portuguese coast.”

Another local said: “I am very upset by this massive piece of Portuguese land destroyed for the rich, removed from the average local that had been creating memories in this place for generations and generations.”

Lots at the CostaTerra project are being sold by Jack Brooksbank, the husband of Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie. Because he’s a salesman many think that name dropping Harry and Meghan as residents is nothing more than a PR move.

Royal Family News: Where Is Prince Harry?

The CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club is marketed as a luxury residential community that broke ground in 2019.

Days after the announcement some experts are now speculating that Meghan and Harry’s purchase is a planned move for a “Golden Visa.” Harry encountered visa trouble earlier this year, with some suspecting he lied on his visa application that allows him to live in the US.

For now, Harry has not been seen for weeks, and no one seems to know where he is—where do you think Ginger Judas is hanging out?
