There were plenty of breakups and romantic tension between the students of the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS) in XO, Kitty Season 2. One such awkward love triangle involved Dae Kim (Minyeong Choi), his ex-girlfriend Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart), and Min Ho Moon (Sang Heon Lee) after the latter confessed his love on the plane ride home. But the rift between besties and roommates Dae and Min Ho didn’t last too long. The actors revealed the dynamics of the love triangle and what they would like for XO, Kitty Season 3.

In the first half of XO, Kitty Season 2, when Dae finds out about Min Ho making a move on his ex, just after they broke up, he is upset with him. But that anger eventually dissipates. Choi told Deadline in a recent interview, “When you love someone and when you’re into someone, sometimes you make mistakes and sometimes you can’t control things. So probably that’s why Dae forgives Min Ho because he knows how it feels like when he’s in love.”
Dae and Kitty have remained good friends as exes and encourage each other in their school and personal lives. Kitty was there for Dae as he competed in the school talent competition as a singer. About a potential Season 3, Choi added, “If there’s a season three, I would love to, as you said, I would love Dae to go on tour, or maybe not. I would love him to keep, like, keep his dreams and keep fighting for his love and different ways.”
Meanwhile, Lee kept it coy about a possible Kitty and Min Ho endgame, despite fans’ clear preference on social media. About the no-kiss ending, the actor said, “It’s a good thing that they’re not rushing into things. A kiss really is quite a bit of a rush, so maybe slow it down a little bit.” After having had their hearts broken in Season 2, Min Ho and Kitty mutally agree to remain as friends.
Lee was just as noncommittal about Season 3 and shared, “I have no input or opinion on this, to be honest, but I feel like, since they are doing a great job at the moment with the story, I expect the best again, if there is a Season 3.”
