Why Disney+’s Latest Move Has Fans Certain Agatha All Along Season 2 Is on Its Way!

Was there a season 2 all along?

Will Agatha All Along get a season 2? The series’ new designation on Disney Plus has fans hopeful for yet another trip to Westview.

Agatha All Along, by all metrics, was a smash success. The project was beloved by many parts of the fandom, had viewership higher than The Penguin, and was even become one of Marvel’s few Disney Plus shows to get nominated for a Golden Globe. Many would assume that the chances of a season 2 would be near 100%. Sadly, the series was pitched and released as a one-and-done.

Yet it seems nothing can ever be simple with Agatha Harkness. Eagle-eyed fans have spotted that the trailer for the series on Disney Plus has now been listed as “season 1” instead of its prior classification as a miniseries. This has many hopeful that Marvel has reevaluated the series following the success of Agatha All Along, with plans for a season 2 slowly coming into place.

Will Agatha All Along Get A Season 2?

Sadly, these hopes may be a bit overblown. Agatha All Along isn’t the only project to have their miniseries trailer changed to a “season 1” classification. Both The Acolyte and Skeleton Crew have had their trailers renamed in an identical way. And while it’s unclear if Skeleton Crew will be renewed following its freshman outing, it has been repeatedly confirmed that The Acolyte will not be getting a season 2.

Of course, this doesn’t mean the story of Agatha All Along is over. The upcoming Vision series for Disney Plus is being touted as the third part to the trilogy started with Wandavision. It’s also almost certain Billy Kaplan and Agatha Harkness will appear in the inevitable Young Avengers project, meaning their personal stories will continue on even without a season 2.

Agatha All Along is now streaming on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
