Manuel Garcia-Rulfo takes on the role of defence attorney Mickey Haller in Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer.

Based on the books by Michael Connelly, the legal drama series follows Mickey Haller as he takes on cases across Los Angeles from the back of his chauffeur-driven Lincoln Navigator.

Alongside Garcia-Rulfo, the show’s cast includes Neve Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, and Angus Sampson.

This is the second screen adaptation of The Lincoln Lawyer following the 2011 film starring Matthew McConaughey and Marisa Tomei. After the Netflix series debuted in May 2022, a third season was released in October 2024.

Has The Lincoln Lawyer been renewed for season 4?

At the time of writing (October 17), Netflix has not announced anything regarding the show’s future. Judging by past renewals, it’s likely a decision will be made roughly a month after the third season’s release on October 17, 2024.

Showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez hope to continue the series though, with plans to adapt all seven books in the series so far.

Speaking about the end of season three to TV Insider, Rodriguez said: “We always set up sort of the next case of the season. This one won’t quite set up the next case, but it will definitely set up the next book.”

He added: “We hope to adapt all the books. And may even go from there.”

When could a potential season 4 come out?

A new season of The Lincoln Lawyer has been released every year since it debuted in 2022, so it’s likely we could see a fourth season at some point in 2025. No release date, however, has been announced.
