Negan actor Jeffery Dean Morgan’s phone was spotted in a scene, not his first blunder on set.
Fans can anticipate seeing more of Negan, maybe even his phone, in upcoming Walking Dead spinoffs.
As fans have witnessed throughout its 11 seasons, The Walking Dead‘s environment is an unforgiving place, where its tough characters strive hard for survival, but it seems as though Jeffery Dean Morgan, who plays Negan, can also find acting in it an endeavor, specifically when it comes to leaving his technology in the real world.
Finally ending its iconic run on November 20, 2022, The Walking Dead still remains a firm fixture in many zombie-loving viewer’s hearts. Whether it was its fantastic line-up of stars, which includes Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Danai Gurira, and Lauran Cohan, or its compelling and perilous narrative, It’s safe to say that the series will go down in TV history as one of the best. Every Walking Dead fan has their favorite villain from the series, but the charismatic and entertaining Negan seems to top many lists due to his sarcastic personality, quick wit, and devilish grin. Even though viewers certainly won’t side with many of his terrible actions, especially that Glenn scene that drove some fans away, his twisted sense of morality and compelling backstory were enough to place him as one of the show’s greatest additions.
Walking Dead Fans Spot Jeffery Dean Morgan’s Phone in Negan Scene

In a post on The Walking Dead‘s Reddit page, user richard_carlisle pointed out a glaring blunder in a scene featuring Jeffery Dean Morgan as Negan. The scene in question is from season 11, episode 14, which shows a tension-filled standoff between the former leader of the Saviors, Glenn, and Maggie’s son, Herschel. As little Herschel takes out a gun and aims it at Negan, Negan kneels and sits on the window sill, revealing that he had a mobile phone in his back pocket all that time.
Apparently, this isn’t the first time Morgan’s mobile phone has made a cameo in the show. In season 7 of The Walking Dead, Negan sits down for a drink with Spencer Monroe, and out pops Morgan’s phone from his pocket yet again. In the comment section of the Reddit post, one fan said that this was a very regular occurrence with Morgan throughout his time on The Walking Dead. “JDM keeps his phone in his back pocket, you can see the outline of it in many scenes.”, while another fan said that the scene reminded them of “The Starbucks cup from Game of Thrones season 8″.
Beth Greene, played by Emily Kinney, was also not immune to mishaps either. In episode 12 of season 4, Beth runs away from Daryl into the forest in a bid to look after herself. However, she can’t, and he has to come save her from walkers. As she takes off her blood-soaked cardigan, Kinney’s mobile phone is seen in her back pocket. It makes even more sense now why Ben Stiller banned mobile phones on the set of Severance.
Fans can catch up with more of Negan (and maybe spot his phone, too) in The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 when it arrives this spring, as well as Daryl Dixon Season 3 sometime this year.
