When did The Walking Dead premiere?
The Walking Dead premiered on Halloween in 2010 with a 90-minute pilot episode that was titled, “Days Gone Bye”. The pilot episode introduces the world to Rick Grimes, his family, and the situation the sheriff finds himself in when waking up from a coma to a different kind of world. Not only that, Grimes discovers his family is missing and is then forced to battle a zombie apocalypse to find them.
The pilot episode was very well received and had over 5.3 million viewers watching it when it was released.
