Travis Kelce’s sense of humor caught Taylor Swift’s attention way before a friendship bracelet did.
“SNL” star Ben Marshall joked he’s a “a little bit” responsible for the couple’s romance because of his comedy group Please Don’t Destroy’s work with Kelce when he hosted an episode of the sketch comedy series in March 2023.
“We worked with both Taylor and Travis Kelce, before they got together,” Marshall explained on Mike Birbiglia’s “Working It Out” this week.
“So we -— and we can cut this out if you guys don’t want to say this — but she kinda told us that she watched his ‘SNL’ episode, and saw him in our video … and was like, ‘Oh, this guy seems funny.’”
He added, “So, like, a little bit [we] brought them together.”

The 28-year-old comedian admitted he was scared to share the anecdote out of fear of Swift’s devoted fanbase.
“I was thinking about like maybe [sharing that story] on Fallon, and then we were like, ‘I think that, if then they ever break up, we will be pinned for causing this disaster,’” Marshall said.
“It’s just a very precarious situation, because people have such strong feelings.”
The “All Too Well” singer, 34, first worked with Please Don’t Destroy almost three years ago when she joined then-cast member Pete Davidson for the musical sketch “Three Sad Virgins.”
The tight end, also 34, teamed up with the group for a pre-taped sketch during his hosting gig last year.

Kelce made a surprise appearance on the NBC show in the fall and joked about the NFL’s obsession with his girlfriend.
“Travis was a surprise. He and Taylor showed up right before we started,” an insider told The Post of the October cameo.
The “Blank Space” singer had been on hand to introduce her friend and rapper Ice Spice, whom she took to the Super Bowl.
Kelce and Swift began dating last summer after she reached out to him upon hearing he tried to give her his number.
The duo kept their relationship extremely private — she even snuck into football stadiums — before the “Valentine’s Day” actress hard-launched the romance at her first Chiefs game in September.
