AMC has confirmed when The Walking Dead: Dead City will return with its second season, and it’s just around the corner. For fans of the spin-off who have been missing the zombie action from its stars, Jeffery Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan, TWD: Dead City will make its way back to AMC on May 4. In its most recent promo clip, members of The Croat’s Burazi can be seen barging through the streets of New York before they come across a geared-up walker wandering before knocking it out and throwing it into their truck.
After taking the zombie (and others) back to their base, workers are seen throwing them into some green liquid which turns out to be an important energy source for the Radio City Music Hall. It’s certainly a fantastic teaser of what fans can expect when May rolls around. Even though Maggie and Negan aren’t in the clip this time around, the whistling madman may have his work cut out for him in season 2 of The Walking Dead: Dead City, as one important character to him is rumored to make their return, in what could be the beginning of the end for Negan’s sanity.
Lucille Rumored to Return in Hallucinations in The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2

According to @TWDUfilming on X/Twitter, Hilarie Burton Morgan is rumored to make a return as Lucille in an upcoming episode of The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2. Rather than flashbacks to Negan, as she did in The Walking Dead‘s final episode of season 10, this time it looks like Morgan will appear through hallucinations in Dead City‘s season 2, episode 7. For those who may have forgotten about Morgan’s appearance, she played the character of Lucille, who Negan later named his bat after.
Lucille had pancreatic cancer and, with it being the post-apocalypse, finding medicine was extremely difficult, but even though she accepted her fate, it was a different story for Negan. After Lucille committed suicide, a traumatized Negan found her zombified corpse upon returning from looking for medicine but was able to end her “life”, choosing instead to set fire to Lucille and their home. Even though Negan eventually burned the bat he named after her, it looks as though Lucille is back to haunt him once more in the spin-off series.
