The Boys Season 4: Can’t Wait for the Next Explosive Chapter? Here’s Your Free Ticket to the Ride!

Anthony Starr as Homelander in The Boys

Karl Urban, Antony Starr and Jack Quaid return for the latest chapter of Prime Video’s beloved superhero satire

Fans of The Boys are in for a treat as the hit superhero satire is all set to return with its fourth season. Launching later this month, the latest instalment will comprise eight diabolical episodes, bringing back fan favourites Butcher and Homelander.

The Boys offers a unique perspective on what happens when superheroes misuse their powers instead of using them for good. It revolves around the eponymous vigilante group, who are determined to expose the truth about The Seven and Vought – the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages these superheroes and hides their dark secrets.

As per the official synopsis, the world is on the brink in season four, as Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Meanwhile, Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son and his job as The Boys’ leader as the rest of the team are fed up with his lies.

With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late. The Boys is based on The New York Times best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, with Hollywood comedy duo Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg serving as executive producers.

The Boys season four will see the return of regular cast members including Karl Urban as Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie and Antony Starr as Homelander. Joining the cast are The Walking Dead star Jeffrey Dean Morgan in an as yet unconfirmed role, alongside Orange Is the New Black’s Susan Heyward and The Following’s Valorie Curry as new characters Sister Sage and Firecracker, respectively.

The series has been a massive hit for Amazon, earning eight Emmy nominations and a 93 percent Rotten Tomatoes score. Its success has paved the way for an expanding universe that now includes animated anthology Diabolical, live-action spin-off Gen V and upcoming The Boys: Mexico.
