The new season of The Boys has left viewers disgusted
The Boys is back, and one scene in the new season is grossing everyone out.
The fourth season of the hit Amazon Prime show premiered on June 13.
It revolves around a team of vigilantes who lock heads with those who abuse their superpowers.
It’s fair to say that the show has never shied away from shock value before, and this season is so exception.
A brief scene in episode two has seen fans taking to social media to express their shock and disgust.
And let’s just say, the reaction isn’t unwarranted in the least.
So what happens?

It takes place in a sauna where a Supe (A person with powers) with cloning abilities decides to engage in sexual activities with his own clones.
Already quite weird, you might think, but surely there’s grosser things on TV?
Well, the scene is being likened to The Human Centipede which should give you idea of how explicit it is.
This is what protagonists Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) and Frenchie (Tomer Capone) walk in on.
The scene comes in the season’s second episode while the main group are investigating a convention for conspiracy theories.

It’s only a brief scene but it certainly made an impact and resonated with viewers for all the wrong reasons.
Viewers were urging each other not to watch the show with their family.
One fan who made this mistake shared this horror with TikTok. In the comments section, others weighed in with their reactions.
“I won’t be caught dead watching The Boys with my parents,” one stated.
Another remarked: “Watching The Boys with your family was the first mistake.”
It wasn’t just on TikTok that the show was getting big reactions.
Fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express their disgust.
One person tweeted: “That sauna scene almost made me throw up,” as another commented: “Genuinely might never go into a sauna again without suffering PTSD.”

Whether or not the show will go one step after the sauna scene remains to be seen.
For the sake of viewers’ eyeballs, I certainly hope not.
Besides the eye bleach required, the fourth season has been well received.
On Rotten Tomatoes, it has an approval rating of 95 percent, based on 75 reviews.
The website’s consensus stated: “Boxing in the political arena with a bloodied smile, The Boys‘ fourth season is grim and even a little glum while holding up a cracked mirror towards modern society.”
Amazon Prime will be releasing new episodes of The Boys every Thursday.
