Taylor Swift can do it all.
Patrick Mahomes shared in a new interview that the pop star has developed a complex understanding of football since she began dating his Kansas City Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce last summer.
“When she’s talking about football, when she’s learning it, you can see her business mind putting it together. It’s almost like she’s trying to become a coach. ‘Why can’t you try this, this and this?’ She’s asking the right questions,” Mahomes said in his Time 100 profile, published Tuesday.

The quarterback, 28, met Swift, 34, in September 2023 when she attended the Chiefs’ game against the Chicago Bears to support Kelce, also 34.
Mahomes noted that he has “met a lot of famous people,” but he said the Grammy winner is “probably the most down-to-earth” of them all.
“She’s never not working,” he raved to the magazine.

“Even when she’s taking her downtime, she’s working on something. Shooting a music video or singing a song or writing a song. You can see it by how she talks.”
Mahomes acknowledged that Swift helped the Chiefs go “from a nationwide team that was kind of global to a full global, worldwide team” with her star power.
“That came from Taylor’s fan base,” he added.

However, Mahomes insisted his team was not distracted by the intense media attention brought on by Swift’s relationship with Kelce.
“We just embraced it,” he said.
“We like having that visibility. At the end of the day, football has always been this bruising sport. We want to make it fun, where kids grow up and play football and show their personality and be who they are. This year really magnified that.”

He and Kelce became three-time Super Bowl champions when they took home the win in February.
Mahomes and Kelce helped lead the Chiefs to victory at the 2024 Super Bowl in February, where their respective partners, Brittany Mahomes and Swift, were seen cheering them on in a VIP suite.
The two have grown close in recent months after attending several games around the country together and celebrating the team’s championship win at a starry bash in Las Vegas.
Brittany, who shares two children with her athlete husband, even jumped to Swift’s defense after a clip of someone claiming the “Lover” singer “ruined football” went viral.
