Taylor Swift fans were surprised to learn that her upcoming album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” seemingly references her problematic former fling, Matty Healy.
If an alleged album leak is to be believed, at least one track may reference her short-lived relationship with The 1975 frontman, whom she split from in June 2023.
In one of the songs, the lyrics refer to her partner as a “tattooed Golden Retriever” and references smoking and eating bars of chocolate.

Though the audio has been wiped from the internet due to copyright violations, fans who heard the purported Swift track were quick to react to the lyrics, which may be referencing Healy’s many tattoos.
“i feel so bad for joe alwyn like imagine being terrorized by swifties for a whole ass year, yet the album is about matty healy,” one person wrote on X, calling out the pop star’s six-year relationship with British actor, Joe Alwyn.
“The Tortured Poets Department being about Matty Healy and not Joe Alwyn is the gag of the century,” another chimed in, while a third wrote, “she had a typewriter, a situationship with matty healy, and a dream.”

Others joked that music producer Jack Antonoff, who has collaborated with both Swift, 34, and Healy, 35, on multiple occasions, was the true mastermind.

The singers were first romantically linked last May, shortly after news broke of the “Lover” singer’s split from Alwyn.
While she and Healy never confirmed their romance, the pair were spotted together on multiple occasions — and were even seen locking lips during a Casa Cipriani date in New York City.

Many of Swift’s fans blasted the indie rocker throughout their brief romance, as they brought Healy’s past controversies to light. Notably, he made racist remarks about Swift’s pal Ice Spice on the “Adam Friedland Show” podcast last February.
In June, a source confirmed to Page Six that the duo had called it quits. “It’s a natural evolution of a fun little thing whose moment is over,” an insider told us, alleging that the Grammy winner was simply “blowing off steam.”
She has since moved on with Travis Kelce, while the “Heart Out” hitmaker is dating model Gabbriette Bechtel.
