The Walking Dead: World Beyond is the second spinoff of the main series which focuses on a group of teens surviving in the undead apocalypse.

Rick Grimes will always be a fan-favorite character in The Walking Dead universe. He was the first character introduced in the pilot episode of the main series and has always been the focus of the story. He appeared in the main series and The Ones Who Live spinoff, but did he appear in World Beyond?
Rick is portrayed by British actor Andrew Lincoln, who is remembered for his role as Mark, the man who wrote flash cards declaring his love for Keira Knightley’s character in Love Actually. He perfected his Southern American accent to portray King County Sherriff Deputy Rick Grimes from seasons 1-9 of The Walking Dead and continued Rick’s story in the sixth spinoff, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.
Fans are always eager to see Rick return to TWDU in any of the spinoff series and long for him to reunite with Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus). This is always possible as TWD Chief Content Officer Scott M. Gimple has long teased fans with much more TWD content to come.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond
In 2020, AMC premiered the third spinoff of the main series, The Walking Dead: World Beyond. This series is a coming-of-age apocalyptic story that follows the journeys of four teens who have lived the majority of their lives behind walls. Although they knew of the dangers of the undead outside their community, they weren’t prepared for the reality of the new world.
Many viewers hoped Rick would appear in the series as it focused heavily on the CRM (Civic Republic Military). This is the group that Jadis/Anne (Pollyanna McIntosh) traded Rick to after the bridge explosion, in which his family and friends believed he died. Unfortunately, Rick didn’t appear, but he was mentioned.
In season 2 of World Beyond, Warrant Officer Jadis Stockes of the CRM was introduced. She experienced quite the transformation in the past six years since fans last saw her in season 9 of The Walking Dead. She was a key officer within the CRM and during one of her conversations she mentions Rick, not by name, but viewers knew who she was talking about.

Jadis tells her story to Huck (Annet Mahendru), her former mentor. She talks about the Heaps and her group she lost. She tells her that later on she found her ticket to enter the CRM, giving them something valuable. TWD fans know that Rick Grimes was the valuable thing she traded to gain entrance to the CRM. This allowed her to opportunity to train and climb the ranks within the organization.
Rick’s story continued in The Ones Who Live, a limited six-part series but now fans are ready for more. Will Rick appear in another spinoff? It is likely that he will but at this time no announcements have been made.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond streams on AMC+, and The Ones Who Live, as well as several other TWD series, are streaming on Netflix.
