A royal insider shares a poignant glimpse into what Princess Diana might have thought of today’s royal dynamics, hinting at a mother’s unfulfilled hopes.

According to a Royal insider, if Princess Diana were alive today, she would be deeply disappointed b the current state of affairs. When she died at 36, Prince Harry was only 12 years old.

Despite her divorce from King Charles a year prior, her former butler, Paul Burrell, believes she would have expected Harry to remain close with him.

In an interview with The Sun, Mr. Burrell shared, “There’s no love lost between Diana and Charles, but what was important to Diana is that both boys should have been influenced by both parents.”

He added, “She would have made Harry apologize to Charles, and Diana would have been the broker of that – she was always the peacemaker.”

A tragic car accident in 1997 took Diana’s life, and Harry has spoken about how he never fully recovered from the loss.

He thinks about his mother daily, and now that he has children of his own, Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 2, her presence is felt even more strongly, as he mentioned in a 2022 TODAY Show interview.

According to Mr. Burrell, Diana wanted “the four of them to stay together” as a family unit. However, when that became impossible, “it broke her heart when that disintegrated.”

Before her passing, Diana made her sons promise to always look out for each other.
