What’s wrong with keeping some souvenirs from work? Nothing, as long as it doesn’t violate New York City’s strict weapons laws.

Daryl Dixon has never played by the rules, and that is what has kept him alive during a zombie apocalypse. That and the fact that Walking Dead fans would riot if the writers killed off the fan-favorite character. It turns out that Daryl Dixon has a lot in common with his actor, Norman Reedus. Like Dixon, Reedus doesn’t always play by the rules….especially when it comes to taking things from set.
During a Walking Dead spotlight panel at New York City Comic Con 2024, Reedus was asked about what items he’s taken from the set. The actor confessed that he’s taken so many props, that he’s probably violated New York weapon laws.
“I got so much shit from Georgia, I have like nine crossbows in New York. I live in New York, it’s probably a felony. Don’t tell nobody. They don’t work. I’ve got a bunch of knives,” Reedus said.
Remember that walker head from the episode ‘Not Tomorrow Yet?’ The one that looked suspiciously like Johnny Depp? Reedus has it too. “I’ve got Johnny Depp’s head.”
He also has one of Andrew Lincoln’s beards and Scott Wilson’s ponytail.
When the Walking Dead franchise wraps up, Reedus could probably open a museum. “The Norman Reedus Collection of Stuff He Stole from The Walking Dead Set” has a nice ring to it, we think.
It isn’t unheard of for actors to snag some memorabilia from set when a series wraps up – two Ted Lasso cast members swiped so much they interrupted filming of the final season. However, it sounds like Reedus should have been searched when he walked off the set for the final time.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol finished airing on AMC in early November 2024.
