Negan’s Wrath Unleashed: Dead City Season 2 Trailer Dazzles at NYCC!

An update has been shared about the second season of The Walking Dead: Dead City. A new teaser and first look photos for the new season have also been released.
At New York Comic Con, a panel was held for the Walking Dead spinoff series starring Lauren Cohan (Maggie) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan). Both actors were present for the panel alongside co-stars Gaius Charles, Željko Ivanek, and Dascha Polanco. Franchise Chief Content Officer Scott M. Gimple was also in attendance with the panel hosted by AEW wrestler and Terrifier 3 actor Chris Jericho. During the panel, the Season 2 teaser trailer for Dead City Season 2 was unveiled, and it was announced that the second season will premiere in Spring 2025 on AMC and AMC+. Fans can check out the new trailer along with some first look photos below.
Per AMC, The Walking Dead: Dead City follows Maggie and Negan “as they travel into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, long ago cut off from the mainland. The crumbling city is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror. In season two, in the growing war for control of Manhattan, Maggie and Negan find themselves trapped on opposite sides. As their paths intertwine, they come to see that the way out for both is more complicated and harrowing than they ever imagined.”
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol Will Return for Season 3
Currently, new episodes are airing for the separate spinoff series, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol. It serves as a continuation of Daryl Dixon, the spinoff series that followed Norman Reedus’ Daryl after the character finds himself displaced in France. Season 2 brings back Melissa McBride with Carol returning as a main character. A third season was announced for Daryl Dixon ahead of Season 2’s premiere, guaranteeing that there will be more to come.
As for Dead City, it has been confirmed that there will be a bit of a time jump since the events of Season 1. Series showrunner and executive producer Eli Jorné previously shared how “six months” will have passed when Season 2 begins, and in some ways, it feels like a bit of a “reset” compared to where things were left off with the characters previously.
“Season 1 was a reset from The Walking Dead for these characters and it feels like Season 2 is a reset of Season 1, because all these alliances shift around, and people shift around, and people find themselves on very different sides for reasons they didn’t expect,” he said at a panel at San Diego Comic Con.
