Prime Video’s My Spy: The Eternal City features a mix of established comedy all-stars and up-and-coming actors who shape the fun-to-watch sequel to an underrated 2020 spy movie. My Spy: The Eternal City takes the action of the first movie to Italy as J.J. chaperones Sophie’s school choir trip. Unfortunately, the critics’ ratings for My Spy: The Eternal City resulted in David Bautista’s first Rotten score in his previous ten movies.
Still, the movie is entertaining to watch, even if it’s lacking in some areas, thanks to the excellent performances given by the cast. In addition to the two lead actors, the sequel brought back big-name comedy stars Ken Jeong and Kristen Schaal, who carry the movie’s comedic moments. The cast also features newer actors who show potential despite having fewer credits to their names.
