The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power TV series season 2 is out in the wild with first three episodes. The series is set in the Second Age of Middle-earth and chronicles the rise of Sauron, the second Dark Lord after Morgoth in this fantasy world created by J. R. R. Tolkien. This is, of course, thousands of years before the War of the Rings involving Frodo Baggins, Samwise Gamgee and so on which occurred towards the send of the Third Age. Here’s everything you need to know about The Rings of Power season 2, including episode release schedule, release date, cast and much more.
The Rings of Power is not based on any particular Tolkien fantasy novel. Rather, it takes most of its material from the appendices and other writings of the author. In season 1 of The Rings of Power, Halbrand (played by Charlie Vickers, also known for the historical drama series Medici that originally aired from 2016 to 2019) was revealed to be none other than Sauron in disguise all along.
Season 2 deals with Elves, including warrior Galadriel (played by Morfydd Clark, British actress otherwise best known for the 2019 horror movie, Saint Maud), Now, Elves know not only is the Dark Lord back, but he is gathering power and there will soon be another war in Middle-earth.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series season 2 cast
