Katy has a history of making fun of herself

KATY Perry has gotten a ton of love from fans after she admitted to being annoying on the set of American Idol.

On Sunday, Katy, 39, shared a behind-the-scenes video from the reality show on Instagram.

The video was taken when one of her songs started to play over the sound system
In the clip, she sat behind the judge’s table while the show was on a break.

Her song California Girls was playing over the sound system and the audience could be heard singing along.

The person filming the video asked Katy if she knew the song that was playing.

She casually looked to the side and pulled her hair away from her ear to listen closely.

Then, the American Idol judge appeared confused as she continued to listen to the song before shaking her head ‘no’ to the beat of the music.

She then leaned into the camera and joked, “It’s by that really annoying girl, right?”

Katy wore a sparkly blue strapless dress and accessorized with long silver earrings that framed her face.

In the comment section of the post, her fans obsessed over the star’s joke.

One said, “I love how your mouth moved to it wanting to sing.”

“She’s an actress give her a golden globe right now,” added another.

NOT THE LOOK

Katy sits on the judging panel with Luke Bryan, 47, and Lionel Richie, 74.

At the start of the April 14 episode, where the Top 20 was announced, the host of the show Ryan Seacrest, 49, introduced the judges.

She joked and asked if the song was sung by the ‘annoying girl’
They all walked on stage, and then Luke and Katy started dancing and shimmying at one another.

Their dance moves mimicked the motions of a car wash, which made sense once the judges started talking.

Ryan mentioned that Luke’s pants have been getting tighter all season.

In contrast, Lionel’s pants have been getting looser.

Then, Katy added, “And Luke said I look like the inside of a car wash,” which made Luke let out a loud laugh.

Katy found it so funny that she posted a photo on X, formerly known as Twitter, where she was Photoshopped into a car wash.
