John Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen regrets “roasting” his choice of pants.
The “All of Me” singer wore light blue bell bottom flare jeans, white sneakers, and a green short-sleeved shirt to watch the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 9.
And unbeknownst to the singer, 46, he had tapped into the biggest trend of the Super Bowl as halftime performer Kendrick Lamar, 37, wore a very similar style for his set at Caesars Superdome.
“Dead that we all roasted John for his flared jeans then the coolest guy in the world had them on for his Super Bowl halftime show,” Teigen, 39, captioned an Instagram Story post of her husband dancing in his denims.

The clip, shared with her 41.8 million followers, also adorably included her and Legend’s daughter Esti, 2, dancing to Lamar’s performance.
“Go Esti, go Esti, go Esti,” the Cravings author chated as the tot danced around in a floral onesie.
Legend can also be heard shouting, “Kendrick stole my pants,” in the clip — which shows the whole family enjoying the game in which the Philadelphia Eagles triumphed over the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans.
Rapper Lamar caused quite a stir with his choice of pants for his Super Bowl show, a pair of Celine jeans in a flared style that evoked the early 2000s trend.

When an Instagram post by The Cut identified Lamar’s jeans as a bootcut style, fans were quick to correct them. Actress and model Julia Fox even jumped into the conversation, commenting on the post, “Those are bell bottoms 100%.”

Ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl, Teigen and Legend and their four children — Luna Simone, 8, and Esti Maxine, 2, Miles Theodore, 6, and Wren Alexander, 1 — put in some preparation by whipping up a batch of Legend’s famous chili. Alongside her husband — who jokingly referred to himself as “Father Chili” — Teigen shared her recipe for the meal in an Instagram Reel on Wednesday, Feb. 5. “This is a Super Bowl MUST in our family,” Teigen wrote alongside.
During the clip, the pair also revealed that they would be supporting the Eagles during the match-up, so they are sure to be delighted by the team’s 40-22 defeat of the Chiefs.
