AMC Networks and Netflix have collaborated to bring viewers a long list of AMC original titles.

In Aug. 2024, AMC Network and Netflix announced an extension of their partnership, which brings AMC original series to the streamer. Netflix was already the host of great titles like The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and Mad Men but the new deal would greatly expand the steamers’ AMC offerings.
On Aug. 19, all eight seasons of Fear the Walking Dead and season 1 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon were added to Netflix’s extensive catalog. Additionally, Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches, Dark Winds, Preacher, and more were also added.
Fear the Walking Dead is the first spinoff of the main series, which began airing on AMC in 2015. The series concluded its story in Nov. 2023. This series begins at the onset of the outbreak in Los Angeles and follows the Clark/Manewa family as they acclimate to a new world overrun by the undead. The first three seasons were excellent additions to TWDU, but the story saw few highs and numerous lows for the duration of its run. One thing to remember when viewing Fear TWD is that it vastly differs from the flagship series, which is a good thing in a spinoff.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is the second direct spinoff of the main series after Dead City. This series’ first season focuses on Daryl (Norman Reedus) and his unplanned journey to France. This is one of the best spinoffs of The Walking Dead as it features much world-building, and it was filmed in France, giving a gorgeous backdrop for the story to unfold.
What Walking Dead series will release on Netflix in 2025?
Netflix has unveiled its Jan. 2025 new release list, including the Rick and Michone spinoff, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. This limited series will be released on Jan. 13. It features Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira in a reprisal of their roles as Rick and Michonne.
The long awaited reunion between Rick and Michonne finally becomes a realtiy in this series which focuses on their epic love story. Time couldn’t stop their love and this story is a beautiful one that fans of Rick and Michonne won’t want to miss.
THR first reported on the AMC/Netflix agreement extension in July, and at that time, The Walking Dead: Dead City was included in the releases for Jan. 13. But the new announcements from Netflix for Jan. 2025 don’t include this spinoff. We will keep you posted on whether or not Dead City will be coming to Netflix at a later date.
