While his tenure as Superman came to an end, Cavill is seemingly joining the MCU with a potential role in the upcoming series, Nova. Recent reports claims that the actor is being considered for a part, but the specifics haven’t been confirmed.

Cavill might be cast as Richard Rider, the original Nova, but no official confirmation on the same has been given. According to reports on the show, it it set to bring back Annihilus, a formidable villain. It is also set to combine elements of military action and space opera. Rumours suggest that the tone of the show will be similar to that of Starship Troopers.

Many also speculate that Cavill’s role may also be tied to the Avengers. However, this is his second major franchise shift, following his departure from The Witcher. Interestingly, this isn’t his first association with the MCU. For those unaware, he had also made a cameo as a Wolverine Variant in the Deadpool & Wolverine movie.
