Meghan Markle has been keeping a low profile in recent weeks as she and Prince Harry are said to be going their separate ways professionally, according to a royal expert

Meghan Markle has been keeping a low profile in recent weeks amid claims she and Prince Harry are carving out their own professional paths.

While the Duchess of Sussex hasn’t been seen much lately, one royal expert has suggested she’s busy preparing for her solo projects. Meghan has been busy working on her new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard, as well as her upcoming Netflix show.

Meanwhile, Harry has been seen carrying out a number of engagements in the UK, New York and South Africa. Royal commentator Phil Dampier said: “I think Meghan is genuinely doing a lot of work in the background for this Netflix project and American Riviera Orchard. She probably wants a bit of a hiatus so that she can launch that.”

He added during an appearance on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show: “As for Harry, obviously he’s been back and forth with a few charities. They do seem to be going their separate ways.”

Dampier’s comments come after another PR expert suggested Meghan is “energized by her upcoming ventures”, despite facing a series of challenges. Her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard has been met with a few bumps in the road.

Meghan’s trademark application was denied by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, with PR expert Michael Levine telling The Mirror US her moves seem “marked by bad luck”. However, Michael doesn’t believe any of this is going to deter Meghan from pushing ahead.

He told us: “Despite these hurdles, sources report Meghan is energized by her upcoming ventures, including the anticipated launch of American Riviera Orchard and her Netflix series in early 2025.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a lucrative deal with Netflix after stepping down from the Royal Family in 2020. Their deal with the streaming giant is worth $100 million over five years.

Meghan and Harry are currently developing two new programs for the streaming giant. The Duke of Sussex is focusing on a polo-themed project, while Meghan is crafting a lifestyle series tied to American Riviera Orchard.
