Space Cadet has landed.
Emma Roberts’ new movie Space Cadet has now landed on Prime Video if you fancy a laugh this weekend.
Written and directed by Liz W Garcia, the movie sees Roberts play party girl Tiffany ‘Rex’ Simpson who has always dreamed of going to space. The only problem? She’s not qualified in any sense of the word.
That is until her supportive best friend Nadine (Poppy Liu) doctors her application and Rex gets into NASA’s ultra-competitive astronaut training program. But can Rex get through it without blowing her cover?
The movie also stars Tom Hopper, Gabrielle Union, Desi Lydic and Kuhoo Verma.

The New York Times
“The jokes feel tired. The actors are mostly doing their best, but the screenplay too often leaves them mimicking comedy rather than performing it.”

Mama’s Geeky
Screen Rant
“Space Cadet feels like a Disney Channel movie released 20 years too late with its unfunny writing and story, despite a game Emma Roberts performance.”
Collider
“If Apollo 13 and Legally Blonde had an insufferable love child lacking the respective thrill and charm of its prodigiously successful parents, it would be this pseudo-feminist NASA fan fiction.”
