There are still questions surrounding the death of One Direction star Liam Payne, who died in a hotel room in Buenos Aires on October 16, and what led him to be in the hotel
Liam Payne’s death has left fans reeling with unanswered questions, particularly why he was at CasaSur Palermo Hotel on the day of his death on October 16.
The former One Direction singer sadly died aged 31 after falling from the third floor balcony of the hotel. An investigation was launched into the tragedy, with several hotel employees being looked into.
Reports about Liam’s final moments painted a picture of “erratic” behavior, as guest and hotel worker testimonies suggested he may have spent time with two escorts shortly before his death. One man, who is under investigation but has not been charged, alleged to have taken drugs with Liam on the day he died.
Before staying at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, Liam had been staying at the prestigious Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires Hotel. The hotel features one-bedroom suites costing around $1,200 a night.

Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires Hotel also has stringent security measures, including a gate barring unauthorized access. It’s currently unclear why Liam made the sudden hotel switch.
Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires Hotel is yet to speak out about his departure. One source has claimed the singer was asked to leave.
In October, shortly after Liam’s death, a source reported to People Magazine that the singer was kicked out “because he was being a nuisance and disturbing the other guests and appeared intoxicated.” Similar reports emerged about Liam’s conduct at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel before his death, sparking questions as to why he was left unsupervised in his room.
The investigation into Liam’s death has been given an update as two additional hotel workers could face charges. The CasaSur Palermo manager and receptionist head could be charged in the ongoing investigation, according to documentss obtained by Rolling Stone

The documents suggest the pair will be notified of their accusations and asked to give a statement. However, the documents do not state what charges either could be facing.
Currently, three individuals, who have not been named on record, have been charged with “abandonment of a person followed by death” and supplying and facilitating narcotics related to Liam’s death. One of the suspects came forward and identified himself as Braian Nahuel Paiz.
While appearing on an Argentinian network, he denied the charges, claiming, “I never supplied Liam with drugs. Liam’s first contact with me was at my place of work.” He continued, “We swapped details and saw each other later that night. It was all normal. He came down from his hotel room to fetch me because I had got lost.”
He confessed to a night spent with the star, revealing, “We took drugs together, but I never took drugs to him or accepted any money.” While Rogelio “Roger” Nores hasn’t claimed to be one of those charged, he also spoke out after news of the charges broke, claiming he never “abandoned” Liam.
“I never abandoned Liam. I went to his hotel three times that day and left 40 minutes before this happened,” he said in a statement to Daily Mail. “There were over 15 people at the hotel lobby chatting and joking with him when I left. I could have never imagined something like this would happen.”
He continued, “I’ve given my statement to the prosecutor on October 17 as a witness, and I haven’t spoken to any police officer or prosecutor ever since. I wasn’t Liam’s manager. He was just my very dear friend. I’m really heartbroken with this tragedy, and I’ve been missing my friend every day.”
