Back in January 2024, after sparking plastic surgery speculations, Erin Moriarty had vowed to quit Instagram, after expressing her dismay in a lengthy post. But then, after a week of her social media hiatus, Moriarty returned. While that was quite anti-climactic, it is the actress’ recent post that once again sparked the same old plastic surgery speculations.

Despite previously debunking the plastic surgery rumors as “disgustingly false” and taking herself off of Instagram, Erin Moriarty has once again generated buzz and controversies. This time, people are not only questioning The Boys star’s facial changes but also her physical transformation that looks very cosmetic.

Much like Erin Moriarty couldn’t live a week without Instagram, even her fans appeared struggling to stay shut about plastic surgery rumors. Although The Boys actress recently surprised fans by posting new photos, showing off a fresh look, her images sparked heated debate surrounding her facial and physical transformation.

Her images went viral on other social media platforms, and netizens took to X, to compare her latest pictures to older ones. Therefore, sparking debates over whether she has undergone cosmetic procedures, fans rekindled the same old plastic surgery rumors that once forced Erin Moriarty to quit Instagram for a week.

While some people simply targeted her face, others discussed how different her body looks. Meanwhile, although the whole transformation posed by Erin Moriarty could have been achieved through intense workouts and dieting, fans refused to consider this a possibility. Instead, they focused on the chatter of plastic surgery and criticized her.

Well, this isn’t the first time Erin Moriarty has faced plastic surgery rumors. In early 2024, the actress became the center of controversy when former Fox News host Megyn Kelly commented on her appearance. During a January 17 segment on her SiriusXM show, Kelly showed photos of Moriarty and suggested that she had undergone plastic surgery.

Reflecting on society’s obsession with cosmetic procedures, as Megyn Kelly slammed Erin Moriarty for alleged plastic surgery, without any confirmation, the actress later took to her Instagram and expressed her disappointment. In a now-deleted post (via CNN), Moriarty noted that the comments made by Kelly were “horrific allegations”.

There is no excuse for these horrific allegations, the verbal abuse that I have had to delete, and genuinely false information that is being used to perpetuate a message that is exhibitionist feminism. 

She further noted her decision to take “an extensive if not permanent break” from social media, as she was deeply hurt by the scrutiny. However, after quitting Instagram by the end of January, Erin Moriarty returned to the platform in February 2024. Claiming to have returned, so that her statement can remain publicly on her page, Moriarty later deleted the post as well.
