On the morning of September 5th, multiple real estate agents in Beijing posted video content on social media, claiming that Elon Musk purchased a property in Beijing for 150 million USD, specifically an aerial courtyard at No. 8 Xiaoyun Road.
The reporter contacted multiple real estate agents responsible for selling in the community, and the sales staff responded that Elon Musk’s home purchase is genuine, confirming that he indeed bought a top-floor siheyuan (a traditional courtyard house) in this community. The reporter then called the sales office of the Beijing Xiaoyun Road No. 8 development to inquire whether the information circulating online was true, but the sales office responded that they could not disclose that information, stating, ‘It is inconvenient to reveal owner information to the public.’
In response, Tesla stated, “Fake news, hype.”
