Daryl and Carol have reunited in the second season of their spinoff series, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol. Ahead of the fifth episode’s debut on AMC and AMC+ on Oct. 27, CBR can unveil a sneak peek clip.

Written by Jason Richman and David Zabel with Daniel Pericival directing, the episode is called “The Book of Carol: Vouloir, C’est Pouvoir.” The official logline for the episode reads, “A new faction of survivors hunt down Laurent. Carol’s lies come to a head.” The new sneak peek clip reveals a scene with Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) visiting the Demimonde, the night club in France first introduced in Season 1 of the spinoff. Lukerya Ilyashenko also returns as Anna, and after learning about the fate of Isabelle (Clémence Poésy), she offers an ominous warning to Carol. Fans can watch the new clip below.

“I’ve been to two locations, Demimonde, which was a decoration built for the show, and Genet’s office,” Ilyashenko previously shared with Collider about being on the set. “Those locations mixed with zombies gave the show this very mystic feeling that was a little bit like a fairytale. All the outfits that I wore and all the decorations, the whole thing felt like it was some sort of historical movie. It felt like it wasn’t happening today. It’s a bit like 19th century with a Tim Burton feeling.”

Norman Reedus Is the “Most Humane Human”

On meeting Reedus on her first day, she also recalled, “I turned my head to the left and there he stood, Norman Reedus. He was like, ‘Hey, you’re the one who’s playing Anna.’ And I went, ‘Yeah, that’s me.’ He said, ‘I’m so happy you’re here with us on the show. Those catacombs were so cold and I got a little claustrophobic. What a terrible day.’ I was standing there looking at him and thinking, ‘Oh, my God, he’s the most humane human. He’s the coolest guy.’ He’d ask, ‘Would you like some coffee, or something to eat?’ He was always very supportive and very caring, and he’s a great actor.”

It remains to be seen how Season 2 will play out, but fans shouldn’t expect for the carnage to end just yet. The series has already been renewed for a third season, and it’s been revealed that filming will take place in Spain. Of course, this strongly suggests that Daryl and Carol aren’t making it back to America anytime soon, likely ruling out a potential reunion with other characters from the original Walking Dead series. Meanwhile, the change in locations will allow fans to see more of the world that has previously been unseen in the world of The Walking Dead.
