Taylor Swift just broke yet another record as she plays a string of sold-out shows in Singapore on her Eras Tour.

The ‘Red’ singer has been making history from the very start of her career, becoming the youngest artist in history to have written and performed a number-one song on the Hot Country Songs chart.

Throughout the years, she broke many more records, with the most recent being this year when her 10th studio album, ‘Midnights’ won Album Of The Year at the 2024 Grammys, leading her to become the first and only person to have won the award four times.

Taylor Swift Makes History Yet Again

Taylor Swift began writing songs at the age of 12 and signed with Big Machine Records in 2005. Her self-titled debut album was released in 2006 and ever since the country music singer turned pop icon has been breaking records and making history — and she isn’t even 35 years old yet!

And now, she can add another broken record to her resume, as Taylor Swift just became the fastest artist in Spotify history to accumulate five billion streams in a calendar year.

Yes, you read that right… five BILLION streams in 365 days. It’s safe to say she isn’t “seeing red” and she is, instead, seeing green as she continues to build up her net worth.

Taylor Swift’s Long List Of Broken Records

This is just one of many records Taylor Swift has broken. In 2009, Swift became the youngest person ever to win Entertainer of the Tear at the Country Music Association Awards.

One year later, at the 2010 Grammy Awards, she became the youngest artist to receive the Album of the Year award with ‘Fearless.’

“Country music is my home,” the then 20-year-old told reporters following the win. “Country music is my love. But to have it organically crossover this year? It’s just been fantastic. I think the healthiest thing you can do when making music is [to] remove stereotypes from it.”

Billie Eilish later beat Swift’s record as the youngest person to win the Album of the Year award.

The list continues as in 2016, Tay Tay became the first woman to win Album of the Year twice at the Grammys for her album ‘1989.’

“I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who are going to try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame,” Swift said in her acceptance speech, seemingly addressing the entire controversy earlier that year when Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, released a song in which he claimed he “made her famous.”

She went on to say, “But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday, when you get where you’re going you’ll look around and you’ll know it was you and the people who love you who put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world. Thank you for this moment!”

Plus, just earlier this year, at the 2024 Grammys, the ’22’ singer became the first and only person to have won Album of the Year four times.
