To say that Daryl Dixon had a homely upbringing would be putting it lightly. Though his relationship with Carol was speculated to be romantic by fans for a long time, showrunners have since confirmed that Daryl and Carol are platonic, best friends with an extremely strong bond that bridges the gap between their gender and age. However, at one point in The Walking Dead, Daryl did indeed find himself with a genuine love interest.

Daryl’s days roaming the woods searching for Rick’s body introduced him to Leah, a troubled woman who would end up being a deadly member of the Reapers. The two end up sharing a brief romantic relationship that ultimately concludes with Daryl being forced to kill his former lover.
