Prince Harry is ‘vetoed’ by William but reportedly gets emotional every time he sees Kate Middleton

Estranged and 5400 miles away, many could forgive Prince Harry if he severed ties with his family emotionally but that’s far from the case as the brother-in-law to the Princess of Wales is left saddened every time he sees Kate Middleton in her battle against cancer.

Upon seeing someone he once knew so well battle cancer, after she received her diagnosis in January 2024, Prince Harry has reportedly been left feeling sorrow and regret surrounding his current familial situation and ponders if they could fix the burned bridges.

And that was exacerbated when Middleton suddenly appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace along with Prince William and their children, King Charles and Queen Camilla, whilst Prince Harry was sad a world away, uninvited and none the wiser.

Harry was very upset and emotional when he saw the footage of Kate [Middleton] at Trooping the Colour,” a source told PageSix.com. “While he has managed to connect with her on a few occasions, it’s not nearly as often as he’d like.

“He would have dearly loved to have been there if only to congratulate and support Kate in person on what must have been a tough day for her.”

Prince William blocks Prince Harry

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, quit their status as working senior members of the British Royal Family back in 2020 before relocating to Santa Barbara in California to begin their own life and their own path forwards.

Meanwhile, the relationship with the Duke of Sussex’s brother and father has continued to degrade to the point of being said to be irreparable between the two children of the late Princess Diana Spencer.

So, with meetings very rare and communication sparse, the 39-year-old has largely been left out of the loop as far as health updates go meaning when he finds out news of Middleton, it’s generally at the same time as the rest of the British public.

The reason for that is thought to be Prince William, who seems insistent on preventing his younger brother and his wife from ever returning to the royal fold. It’s thought to have left Prince Harry confused at how far the future King has actually gone to stop him from rejoining the family.
