The BPI has awarded Eminem and Slim Shady with new certifications. It is a perfect example of how Eminem, both old and new, is appreciated in the United Kingdom.
Em’s latest album, “The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)”, is now certified Silver after the first week of sales. It signifies 60,000 album units gained by the project through streaming and digital sales only.
Meanwhile, “Ass Like That”, the 2005 single from “Encore”, found its Gold certification for 400,000 units sold in the country.
Seeing how Shady’s classic tunes stay relevant while Marshall’s new music goes from strength to strength is poetic.
