Marvel Fans Ecstatic as The Walking Dead Star Drops Jaw-Dropping Hint About Joining the MCU!

Marvel fans hyped as The Walking Dead star teases new MCU role

The Marvel roster continues to grow day by day and one of its latest roles may be going to a much-loved actor much to fan’s delight.

Best known for his role as Victor Strand in Fear the Walking Dead and Ralph Abernathy in 2014’s Selma, Colman Domingo is the latest actor rumoured to be getting a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

There is no denying that Domingo is one of our greatest actors and his popularity continues to grow each day so it is no surprise that Marvel Studios’ may be considering him for an upcoming live-action project.

This is, of course, on top of his role as Norman Osborn in the upcoming Marvel animated show, Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man, so he is no stranger to the world of superheroes.

However, Marvel is apparently not stopping there and according to a recent rumour, he could be making his live-action debut very soon.

During an interview between Screen Geek and Domingo at the Variety’s 10 Actors to Watch event, Domingo confirmed that he has had meetings with Marvel Studios about his potential involvement.

“I have had a meeting with Marvel, yes. But it wasn’t specifically about anything,” he explained.

“They literally sat down and said, ‘What do you want to do?’ And I said, ‘I don’t know. What do you got for me?’ So we’re having engagement, of course.”

He continued, “Who would not want to be a part of the MCU? I just would want it to be right. And something that is created for me and something where I feel like I can give something of myself to. So we’ll find out what that is. I don’t know what it is yet, but I’m patient.”

With the MCU regularly introducing characters, there is no doubt that it will be able to find a role for Domingo and fans cannot wait.

“He would be great as Blue Marvel, he plays a quick witted guy really well, and Blue Marvel is supposed to be near or equal to Reed Richard’s level of intellect, but WAY more grounded, empathetic, and wise,” user ssort said over on r/marvelstudios.

“He’s played charismatic smart guys while also having enough size on him where he wouldn’t look out of place in a slight muscle suit to really give off that Blue Marvel look.”

User Bateman Harrison had high praise for the actor: “He’s one of our best working actors right now. We’ve been working through Fear the Walking Dead , and he’s just consistently busting his a** regardless of what they give him to work with.”
