The pair have been warned against wading into politics ahead of the upcoming US election
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s latest statement is a “big danger issues” for the Sussexes, as they wade in on US politics.
The pair issued a rallying call on their Archewell website for Americans to register to vote ahead of the upcoming US election in November.
Whilst the pair have not publicly endorsed a candidate ahead of the vote, they have been warned that any involvement in US politics could put them on shaky ground.
Hugo Vickers, a royal biographer, said the pair are more interested in “staying relevant” than following protocol.

Speaking to The Sun, he said: “It’s a big danger issue for them.
“I think that everything they do is a desperate attempt to keep relevant and keep themselves in the news.”
He said that it was not up to the pair to instruct the American population on how they should spend their time.
Vickers continued: “They’ve moved into this kind of celebrity status situation, whereby they must always be attracting news comments, otherwise they disappear.

“But they definitely should not be dabbling in any kind of politics, least of all American politics. They really have no right to do it.”
Despite Meghan voicing her political leanings in the past, the pair are keeping it hush this year.
She has previously expressed her democratic leanings, saying in 2016 that she found Donald Trump to be “misogynistic” and “divisive”.
As members of the Royal Family, they are expected to remain politically neutral. However, in 2020, they released a video urging people to vote.
Harry said that voters should “reject hate speech, misinformation, and online negativity” – which some believe was a swipe at Trump – whilst Meghan called the race “the most important election of our lifetime”.
Following his election, Trump said they was “not a fan” of hers, adding: “I would say this – and she probably has heard that – I wish a lot of luck to Harry, because he’s going to need it.”

Vickers said: “It was made quite clear when they left [the Royal Family] that they should not be dabbling in politics.
“I think they accepted that at the time, and whatever you say, even though they don’t endorse one particular candidate, they are now dabbling in politics.”
In a statement posted on their Archewell website they said: “In honour of National Voter Registration Day, The Archewell Foundation team came together for a meaningful volunteer activity to support and empower our communities.
“Using Vote Forward’s impactful letter-writing tool, our team wrote personalised letters encouraging unregistered voters to take a crucial step: registering to vote.
“Voting is not just a right; it’s a fundamental way to influence the fate of our communities.
“At The Archewell Foundation, we recognize that civic engagement, no matter one’s political party, is at the heart of a more just and equitable world.
“By participating in initiatives like this, we aim to amplify the message that every voice matters.”
