Giannis Antetokounmpo BucksThe Bulls started their winning streak with an overtime success against the Bucks. Would they continue it with another victory in Wisconsin? They put the ingredients in anyway. In the first quarter, DeMar DeRozan, in good form at the moment, responds to a very present Brook Lopez, behind the 3-point line or on the offensive rebound (37-32).

With award-winning baskets from AJ Green and Malik Beasley, the 2021 champions knock out the Bulls. But Billy Donovan’s troops are never very far away (74-65). The third quarter is less flamboyant because the skill of the Bucks drops. Giannis Antetokounmpo weighs very little and Chicago can thus come back (91-89).

The Greek wakes up in the last act and Milwaukee’s defense, in certain sequences, goes up a notch. To breathe, the Bulls have a weapon: Coby White. His award-winning shots feel good. The Bucks nevertheless have the upper hand, with a five-point lead in the last minute. But after an offensive foul from Brook Lopez and a missed free throw from Damian Lillard, DeMar DeRozan can equalize, with his only basket of the quarter (118 all).

In overtime, the Bulls are too short and clumsy. The Bucks ensured and won 133-129, in a generally controlled meeting but against a team which did not give up. This success in any case allows Adrian Griffin’s men to bounce back after the defeat in the semi-final of the Tournament against the Pacers.

WHAT YOU MUST REMEMBER

– Giannis Antetokounmpo, at the best of times. With only 7 points and a single basket at the break, we cannot say that the double MVP delivered his most accomplished performance. He didn’t seem to have any impact on the match. His third quarter was certainly better but it was still far from his standards.

Then, in the last act, we found the Greek in his works. Aggressive and dominant. He scored 15 points in this last quarter, then added 5 in overtime, to finish with 32 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists.

– End of series for Chicago. “The Bulls played an excellent game. As soon as we thought we had made the difference, they managed to fight and get back into the match. » Adrian Griffin perfectly summed up the meeting of his opponents.

An eye-catching team, with a ball that circulates and a DeMar DeRozan who compiles 41 points and 11 assists. The Bulls fell harder, and their streak of four straight victories will not go any further, but they come out of this game with their heads held high.
