Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 32 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help the Milwaukee Bucks beаt the Chicago Bulls 133–129 in overtime on Monday night.
Brook Lopez and Malik Beasley both scored 19 points, and Bobby Portis added 17. The Bucks had just lost to Indiana 128–119 in the semifinals of the In-Season Tournament.
They had won four straight games. DeMar DeRozan scored 41 points and Coby White scored 33.
Torrey Craig made the first of two free throws to put the Bulls ahead 119–118 to start overtime. But the Bucks scored seven straight points, with Antetokounmpo’s layup making it 126–119 with two minutes left.
Milwaukee didn’t close the deal because they missed three of six free throws. As time ran out, DeRozan scored on a dunk to bring Chicago within 131-129. With 10.2 seconds left, Damian Lillard made two free throws to make the score 133–129.
With four seconds left in regulation, DeRozan made a jumper from the lane to tie the game at 118. This sent it to overtime. Before that, Lillard made one of two free throws, giving Milwaukee a 118-116 lead with 12 seconds left.
With 1:11 left, Antetokounmpo made two free throws to give the Bucks a 117–112 lead. Another dunk by Patrick Williams and two free throws by DeRozan made it 117–116 in favor of the Bulls.
At the half, Chicago was behind 74–65. Jevon Carter’s 3-pointer at the end of the third quarter brought them within 91–89.
In the first half, the Bucks made 57.8% of their shots. Milwaukee made 26 out of 45 shots, including 12 out of 20 from beyond the hoop.
