Craig can bring a new level of toughness and versatility to the Milwaukee Bucks.

CHICAGO BULLS

The Milwaukee Bucks’ defense remains vulnerable this season, with the team ranking near the bottom in points allowed per game and defensive rating. And while fans are clamoring for the Bucks’ front office to target the likes of topnotch defenders like the Chicago Bulls’ Alex Caruso and the Memphis Grizzlies’ Marcus Smart, there’s an underrated player they should consider: Torrey Craig.

Legit 3-and-D forward

A 6-foot-7 forward with the size and the quickness to keep up with almost any player at his position, Craig is a legit 3-and-D forward. With a career three-point percentage of 35.0 and an ability to make his presence felt on the defensive end, he’s exactly the type of player Milwaukee needs in its rotation.

“A well-traveled NBA veteran, Craig has always served as a credible 3-and-D wing wherever he’s laced them up. He’s extremely versatile, as the 6-foot-7 veteran can play either forward position and defend a handful of different positions.

Offensively, he’ll score around six points per contest while providing solid 3-point shooting. The Milwaukee Bucks could undeniably use another player like that,” Dalton Sell wrote for Behind the Buck Pass.

Similar to Jae

The Bucks already have a player with a similar skillset in Jae Crowder. However, Crowder is still on the mend after undergoing surgery to repair a torn adductor. He and Craig, though, could prove to be a formidable duo off the Bucks’ bench, capable of pestering some of the league’s top scorers, especially in the Eastern Conference, where the likes of Jimmy Butler, Jayson Tatum, and Jaylen Brown lurk.

“Craig and Crowder could be a tremendous duo off the bench, giving the Bucks two experienced defenders who are not afraid to take on the difficult assignments nightly,” Sell continued.

To be fair, though, the Bulls have not indicated they’re willing to let go of anyone outside of Zach LaVine, so the Bucks may have to wait and see how the situation in the Windy City unfolds.
