“I’m Better Than Them”: Giannis Antetokounmpo Claims to Surpass Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Others in Hilarious Fashion
The Bucks secured their spot in the In-Season Tournament semifinals after taking down the visiting Knicks with a 146-122 win on Tuesday.
As the semifinals tip off at Las Vegas, they will meet the Pacers for a head-to-head game, with the hopes of winning the match and advancing to the finals.
"Whoever’s gonna win this thing is gonna have one-up on Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Kobe, Shaq…so I guess I’m better than them (laughs).”

At the Bucks’ In-Season Tournament Semifinals media conference, big man Giannis received a heartwarming birthday surprise that prompted him to say the NBA is his second family.
Now, having already won a Championship and ring, and many other accolades along the way, the now 29-year-old Giannis was asked what winning the In-Season tournament would feel like. His reply is hilarious!
Winning the tournament would mean having a new banner under his belt, and Giannis is hoping he gets to see that happen.
The tournament is being introduced by the NBA for the first time this season and so he says that whoever wins it is going to one-up legends like Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, and Shaquille O’Neal.
So, despite having crazy records, these greats would never have the In-Season winning banner to their name. And Giannis, having already made it this far in the tournament playfully says, “So I guess um I’m better than them.”
Then he goes on to acknowledge the opponents as a very good team but if the Bucks win the tournament, he says, “it’d be great to maybe have a banner too.”
