The Milwaukee Bucks played their 23rd game of the season on Thursday against the Indiana Pacers. While the result did not go in their favor, there’s also no denying that this team has gone a long way in terms of the chemistry they have been able to build throughout the season.

Bucks veteran Bobby Portis has been around long enough to know how important it is for the players to be on the same page. The 28-year-old recently spoke out about the importance of building camaraderie in their group as they look to achieve their goals this season:
“I think in practice it’s all about the camaraderie-building and trusting, building your plays out, running your sets,” Portis said. “The more you run it, like it’s muscle memory. It’s like shooting a shot. The more shots you get up, the more times you hold your follow-through, the more times you’re probably gonna be able to be a better shooter. It’s just what it is.”
Spoken like a true pro.
In so many words, Portis is pointing out the importance of time and getting more and more reps in in building the Bucks’ chemistry. We all know that this won’t happen overnight, and the team’s early-season troubles have been a testament to this fact.
However, Milwaukee has taken significant strides of late. They’re still not there, but they’re getting close.
