LSU women’s basketball star Angel Reese has been soaking up the spotlight since the Tigers’ national championship win, most recently linking up with Ja Morant.

The Memphis Grizzlies‘ main man was seemingly on campus at LSU in a video posted to Reese’s social media Wednesday.

Both danced to NBA Youngboy’s ‘Fresh Prince of Utah‘, specifically the lyrics ‘Issa parade inside my city’, which Morant’s daughter uttered postgame recently.

Morant and the Grizzlies were in Louisiana for Wednesday night’s game at the Pelicans – which they lost 138-131 in overtime. Morant did not play in the loss, with a sore left hip keeping him on the sidelines.

During the championship parade Wednesday, Reese couldn’t resist doing the ‘you can’t see me’ gesture that she used in the dying stages of the national championship last Sunday vs. Iowa.

LSU forward Angel Reese waves to fans as the team paraded across campus on Wednesday

Conversely to Clark, Reese repeatedly used the gesture in the sequence, following her around the court in an attempt to goad Clark – as opposed to the once-off motion by the Naismith Player of the Year in the Final Four win vs. South Carolina.

Reese was named the NCAA tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, and has taken her tenacity and large personality from the court to social media.

Following LSU’s win, First Lady Jill Biden floated the idea of also inviting runners-up Iowa to the White House – a tradition usually reserved for just the winners.

Reese called that notion a ‘joke’ and said she wouldn’t accept an apology from the First Lady.

‘As soon as that happened, we [the team] hit the group chat, like, what’re we doing? Are y’all trying to go? … We made a lot of phone calls and that’s why she wants to come and apologize,’ Reese said on I Am Athlete’s ‘Paper Route’ show

‘I’m not going to lie to you, because I don’t accept her apology… I said what I said… You felt like they [Iowa] should’ve came because of sportsmanship, they can have that spotlight. We’ll go to the Obamas. We’ll see Michelle, we’ll see Barack.’

LSU’s athletic department has since said they’ll ‘certainly accept’ the invite to visit the Bidens, according to CNN.

Reese also revealed that Jill Biden was supposed to visit LSU’s locker room before the game – but the team shunned her.

‘She was supposed to come to our locker room and go to Iowa’s locker room. I don’t know if she talked to them. I don’t know if she did,’ Reese said.

‘But we said we didn’t want to. We didn’t want her coming into the locker room.’

Morant’s status for Friday night’s game vs. Milwaukee is unknown with just two games left on the Grizzlies’ regular season schedule.

While not mathematically solidified, Memphis (50-30) looks likely to secure the Western Conference’s No. 2 seed ahead of Sacramento (48-32).

Morant has been back playing for the franchise since March 22 – after two weeks away from the team.

The former No. 2 overall pick sought counselling in Florida amid a league-imposed suspension for brandishing a gun in a strip club in Denver on March 4.
