Angel Reese’s Mom was a HOOPER 💪

When everyone was wondering about Angel Reese recently, her mother had become a controversial newsmaker in the town. Her grammar lesson triggered a bitter brawl between the mothers of the two Lady Tigers. Despite the settled dust now, the Bayou Barbie’s mother remains a person of interest and intrigue.

Angel Reese admires her mother’s dedication and passion for the game. She would often join her during practice sessions, learning the fundamentals of basketball from a young age. As she grew older, Reese started playing basketball herself, following in her mother’s footsteps.

Who’s Angel Webb?

Angel Webb is a basketball savvy. She scored 1,390 points and pulled down 932 rebounds throughout her stellar career as a standout player at UMBC in the late 80s and early 90s. She also spent a year playing professionally in Luxembourg before moving back to the US to have a family. Reese grew up watching her mother play basketball every Sunday in a local league. After their parents separated, she witnessed how her mother managed to raise her and her brother Julian as single parents.

Reese grew up watching her mother play basketball every Sunday in a local league. After their parents separated, she witnessed how her mother managed to raise her and her brother Julian as single parents. “I used to go to my mom’s games when I was younger,” Reese said. “She used to play in a little league, and I used to always go to watch her games on Sundays. That was something that was always inspiring to me. She’s always been independent, and she molded that into me. I am who I am because of her.”

When the same protective mother was lately pestered by press, she put up a brave face and ended up creating a controversy.

The mother who minces no words

The birthgivers of LSU’s Angel Reese and Flau’jae Johnson got into a social media argument this season, which took the NCAA by surprise and revealed an issue with the Lady Tigers.

The dispute started when Reese’s mother voiced her displeasure about allegedly grammatically incorrect text messages from Johnson’s mother, Kia Brooks.

After missing the entire second half of LSU’s match against Kent State, Reese was out of the lineup for two straight weeks. The girls’ parents engaged in an online verbal sparring match as a result. And Webb joined in by posting a subtly suggestive comment that appeared to be directed at Flau’jae Johnson’s mom.

Despite her diatribe drawing a disdain from Johnson’s mother, Angel Webb’s support became the only vocal statement when silence over Angel’s suspense was growing.
