VICTOR Wembanyama stunned NBA fans as he dressed up as a famous fictional supernatural character in his first game against his “favorite player.”

The 19-year-old San Antonio Spurs star rookie dressed as Slenderman for his primetime Halloween matchup against the Phoneix Suns and NBA legend Kevin Durant on Tuesday.

Before the Spurs’ contest against the Suns, the 7-foot-4 rookie entered Footprint Center, bringing the Halloween energy dressed as the 2009 fictional character.

The No. 1 overall pick of the 2023 NBA Draft showed off his Halloween costume, wearing a black suit with dress shoes and a grey face covering.

NBA fans rushed to X, formerly Twitter, to react to the costume, with many praising the creativity.

One said: “This is the perfect costume for him due to his height!”

Another: “He picked a perfect costume. This is the most appropriate costume of all time.”

A third joked: “The only one who can actually pull off slender man.”

And a fourth: “This man doesn’t miss. Goat costume.”

While some fans commented that the costumes spooked and scared them.

This fan expressed: “This is scary lol.”

And another: “If I saw this in the woods, I’d actually think Wemby is Slender man and be terrified haha.”

Wembanyama is off to a hot start in his rookie season, averaging 15.7 points and 7.3 rebounds, and detailed his experience playing against his favorite player, Durant, for the first time.

“I like the fact that for years and years, nobody found a way to guard him really, consistently,”

“This is probably the reason why he [Kevin Durant] was one of my top favorite players ever,” Wembanyama said after their loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Durant was asked about what that meant to him before the game.

“It means I’m old,” joked Durant.
