Victor Wembanyama’s Ferocious Block Is Going Viral In Spurs-Timberwolves Game
Victor Wembanyama had a huge block during Wednesday’s game.
On Wednesday evening, the San Antonio Spurs were in Minnesota facing off against the Timberwolves at the Target Center (the Timberwolves won 102-94).
During the second half, Victor Wembanyama had a massive block that got a lot of attention on social media.
Naz Reid dribbled into the lane and attempted a layup, but Wembanyama swatted his shot.
He finished the game with 12 points, ten rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block.

Wembanyama is off to a strong start to his rookie season, and came into the evening with averages of 19.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.7 blocks per contest while shooting 43.7% from the field.

That said, the Spurs have struggled despite Wembanyama’s success.
They are the 15th seed in the Western Conference with a 3-17 record in their first 20 games.
In addition, the Spurs are in the middle of a 15-game losing streak.
Following the Timberwolves, they will play their next game on Friday when they host DeMar DeRozan and the Chicago Bulls in Texas.

The Spurs are coming off a season where they were the 15th seed and had a 22-60 record.
They have missed the NBA playoffs for four straight years, but the franchise has also won five NBA titles since the 1999 season.
